App for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android
Your FCU, under control.
Discover, tune and maintain your Open-HPA devices from your phone: no cables, no programmers, no loose tools.
Freeno account, no ads

What it is
HPA Commander brings together everything an FCU (fire control unit, the firing electronics) of an Open-HPA airsoft HPA replica needs. It used to take a programmer, cables and a handful of separate tools. Now you find the device over Bluetooth or WiFi and, from your phone, check its status, change settings and update the firmware.

What you can do
Hassle-free connection
Scans Bluetooth LE and WiFi at once, joins the FCU's access point on its own and merges the same device seen both ways. If the link drops, it reconnects by itself.
Live status
Fire mode, active profile, shots, battery, lockout reason, error codes, trigger and PCB pins, updated instantly.
Every setting
Dwell, rate of fire, trigger, accessories, battery and replica. On the hatBlat: 32 settings in 7 groups, 11 dwell presets and live tuning.
JSON profiles
Three on-device profiles (P1–P3). Save the full setup as JSON, share it, import it from Files and upload it over WiFi or Bluetooth.
OTA firmware
Picks the binary for your board, checks sha256 and magic byte and runs a checklist before flashing: trigger released, battery and SAFE.
Usage and maintenance
Shot history per hour and session, real rate of fire and voltage charts, and maintenance reminders by shot count or by days.
Widget and Live Activity
Device status on the home screen, lock screen and Dynamic Island, with buttons to switch between P1, P2 and P3.
Apple Watch
Check the status from your wrist and trigger the safe actions without reaching for your phone.
On iPad, Android and Apple Watch
The same app on iPhone and iPad. On Android it's native (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose), not a port, and the watch gets its own watchOS app.

Supported devices
The app ships with no hard-coded devices or commands: everything comes from the Open-HPA catalog. Supporting a new board, new commands or another firmware version doesn't require an app update.

HPA Commander configures electronics for airsoft replicas. It does not control firearms. Live-fire actions ask for confirmation, and the safety logic lives in the FCU firmware, not in the app.
FAQ
How much does HPA Commander cost?
It's free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
Which devices does it work with?
It controls the Open-HPA V3 hatBlat (ESP32-C3), the Universal LCD remote and the ThermalShield accessory. Wolverine and Secure Bomb show up with their info sheet (manuals and specs), since they have no wireless link.
Do I need an account?
No. The app doesn't ask for an account or collect personal data. It talks to the FCU locally, over Bluetooth or the device's own WiFi.
Can I update the firmware from my phone?
Yes, over the air through the FCU's WiFi. The app picks the right binary for your board, checks its sha256 and walks you through a checklist before flashing (trigger released, battery, SAFE mode).
When is it out on the App Store and Google Play?
Both versions are in review. Download links will show up on this page as soon as they're live.
